Description


Core Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the department in managing all areas of internationalization, including upholding and fostering the relationship with existing partner universities, research, outreach, culture, diversity, curriculum, partnerships, grants, and entrepreneurial activities.
  • Coordinate and provide the necessary support for development of policies and procedures for the smooth operation of activities of Villa College.
  • Ensure the Policy Register is kept up to date with proper documentation, numbering and version controls in place.
  • Undertake the secretarial role for the College Council and Academic Senate and ensuring proper record maintenance practices are adhered to in accordance with the record keep practices of the College and as per the guidance of the Head of Policy & International Relations. 
  • Undertaking the necessary follow up actions in accordance with the decisions made at the College Council and Academic Senate
  • Coordinate and monitor the performance of College Council Committees and Academic Senate Committees and develop reports as required.
  • Facilitating in creating a vision and direction for international activities and ensuring the strategic direction is in alignment with College Strategic Plan
  • Provide all support required in setting up new partnerships and meeting requirements of the existing partnerships. 
  • Manages all functions of Policy and International Relations in consultation with the Head of Policy and International Relations
  • Facilitate in developing the department action plan to implement strategic initiatives concerning Policy and International relations.
  • Strengthen the collaboration between international partners and Villa College while focusing on the priorities identified and directed by Villa College.
  • Manages the international affairs budget and provide overall accountability for College resources within international affairs.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various internal and external constituents and develop and maintain a fluid and efficient communication protocol between internal units with partners
  • Secure funds for developmental activities for Villa College. 
  • Develop proposals for enterprise developmental activities of Villa College. 
  • Collaborate with representatives from foreign colleges, universities and organizations for special projects or programs as required.
  • Represent the College to agencies on matters relating to International Affairs; seek grants and resources from external agencies to fulfill the College’s vision.
  • Ensure documentation related to all legal due diligences are met with regard to partnership development and expansion. 
  • Provide recommendation and advice to Head of Policy and International Relations on the current status of the partnership. 
  • Keep track of all contractual obligations with regard to international partnerships and provide necessary advice to Head of P&IR as required. 
  • Prepare all documentation related to contractual obligation renewal process and annual monitoring process as required.
  • A strong track record in a managerial position in a higher education institution with experience in international relations.
  • A thorough understanding of academic matters related to higher education management.
  • A strong track record of working with external relationships and networks.
  • A sound understanding of the management of risk in a business environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of the operational management of the functions accountable to the    post
  • Ability to develop proposals, policies, and other such documents relevant to higher education with minimal supervision.
