Manager, Finance and Accounts

We are looking to fill a position of a client, operating a Guest House in the Maldives. The job will be based in Male’ office.

Required Qualification:

ACCA level 2 or Accounting and Finance degree with minimum 2 years work experience (experience in guest service/ hotel management capacity would be an added advantage)

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee company’s financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
• Advise on long-term business and financial planning
• Handle all tax related matters of hotel operator
• Support in attaining profitability and revenue goals
• Assist in conducting strategic planning and decision making
• Assist with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.

Knowledge & Skill Requirement

• Hotel operational finance knowledge – worked as a director of finance or smaller hotel
• Numeracy - using mathematics to solve problems, calculations, presentations etc
• Knowledge of Economics and Accounting principles and practices.
• Management of financial resources
• Analytical and critical thinking
• Knowledge of practices and procedures needed for Purchasing and Material Management
• Knowledge of Administration and People Management would be an added advantage

Salary and Benefits

• MVR 15,000 to 20,000 (negotiable based on qualification and experience)
• Eligible for structured performance-based bonus plan
