MARCOM MANAGER
As the MarCom Manager you will be responsible to create and manage all communications material, multi-platform communications strategy and plan in line with Resort & Corporate brand direction and Manage media relations and PR agencies.


Requirements / Qualification

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or Public Relations, or any related field.
  • Minimum 03 years of experience in a similar position in a five-star resort.
  • Hardworking with a positive attitude and pleasant personality.
  • Should have a solid marketing or advertising background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. (Additional language is a plus)
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Extensive knowledge of Social Media Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and etc.


Key Duties / Responsibilities

  • Monitor ROI from SEO and PPC campaigns and react where necessary by advising on ideas and measures to attract more FIT bookings. Examine the results of all these activities and document all influencing factors for future reference.
  • Manage the resort’s brand and reputation as the custodian of the Brand and Marketing.
  • Invite and host media and influencers to the resort in exchange for media coverage.
  • Develop branding initiatives, internal communications, and external media relations.
  • Develop internal publications such as newsletters, press releases, email announcements.
  • Lead and organize photo- and video shoots as well as special projects with regards to PR/Coms.
  • Create content for social media, Website, and other communication material.
  • Develop strategic communications plan and maintain timeline.
  • Maintain regular communication with our overseas PR companies, making sure that all relevant information is communicated and that all opportunities from them are reviewed and forwarded to the General Manager with recommendations.
  • Develop new and analyze existing procedures and manage advertising and promotional efforts that will improve guest patronage under the guidelines of the Velassaru Maldives’ policies.
  • Adhere to and monitor the budget, brochure contribution, advertising, and promotions.
  • As a member of the leadership team, to coach, train, support, and develop his/her team members, wherever required. This is in conjunction to promote opportunities for development and towards the future success of our resort and the company.
